into the wild with Pooh

AI is creating connections between artists and designers around the world.

Last blog post I talked about putting together AI images for guests of a marketing company who are coming to Art Basel in Miami.

I thought it would be fun to share the experience and connect with others. I reached out to a few people I’d interacted with on Instagram who had beautiful work. We started a Discord server and started chatting. We are from all over the world. I’m in San Francisco and other folks are in France, Germany, Denmark, Turkey, parts of Africa. We came together and and started sharing ideas and picking out the prompts that appealed to us.

@kylelf was kind enough to ask me if I might be interested in being part of an Art Basel event, creating images for guests of a marketing company.
When I was a child I took my teddy bear, Peter Plyds (the danish version of Winnie the Pooh) with me everywhere I went. So when one of the guests suggested Winnie the Pooh as a character, I had to give it a try.
Not far from where I live in Copenhagen there was a shopwindow with a large sticker with Winnie the Pooh on it. He had been subjected to some grafitti, making him look angry and as if he had been in a fight. The loveable old bear had been taken from his forest home into the big city. The other key words from the Art Basel guest was Barcelona, hiking, 1970s, Into the Wild, black. So I though I would try to make a sort of adult, frustrated Winnie the Pooh, trying to escape all the troubles of the world by returning to nature. It started out fairly gloomy, but ended up with love and flowers
